Subject: Information under RTI Act, 2005

Sir,

Kindly refer to your RT1 application dated 19.08.2016 which has been received in this Section on 29.08.2016, under the RTI Act, 2005. In this regard, you are hereby informed that the committee to suggest measures for the streamlining the implementation of NPS has not been formed yet. However, the process for the setting up the aforesaid committee has already been initiated in this Department. Further, the information in respect of point 2 will be furnished to you after formation of the committee.

2. Also, as per the RTI Act, 2005, it is important to note that only such information can be supplied under the Act which already exists and is held by the public authority or held under the control of the public authority. The Public Information Officer is not supposed to create information; or to interpret information; or to solve the problems raided by applicants; or to furnish replies to hypothetical questions. 

3. In terms of Section 19 of the Right to Information Act, 2005 the name of the Appellate Authority is as follows:
